Offering almost an instantaneous effect, vaping represents one of the easiest methods to consume this health supplement.

Great for those who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety or depression, vaping provides a quick and practical relief. However, before you start vaping CBD oils, here are some things you need to know:

1. Compared to the edible or tincture CBD products which might require over 30 minutes to enter the user’s bloodstream, vaping offers a quicker and more discrete option to consume CBD.

2. CBD e-liquids don’t work with all the types of coils. Usually infused with Vegetable Glycerin (known by vapers as VG), some CBD oils might have the tendency to dry out the cotton wick (for the coils that rely on the wick to soak the e-liquids), making the vaporization impossible. That normally happens for the non-homogeneous e-liquids, so in order to avoid this from happening, make sure the liquid you want to purchase is fully homogenised and proven to work in any type of e-cigarette or vape pen.

3. Make sure you know what materials are in your vape pen. When vaping CBD oils, the main concern is the heating coil - a small metal piece that should be replaced every once in a while (especially when the quality of your vape starts decreasing and you feel an unpleasant burnt taste in your throat). They are typically made from titanium, alloy, nickel wire or stainless steel and through vaping, the consumer might also get exposed to metal nano particles. Focus on getting a vape made from stainless steel and borosilicate glass, plus titanium or stainless steel coils with cotton wick

4. CBD Oils and CBD e-liquids are not one and the same. While CBD oils can (and should) be ingested, the CBD e-juices contain VG (as mentioned before) or PG (Propylene Glycol), thinning agents that make the juice “vapable”.

5. CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, reducing the swelling of joints and muscles in your body, helping with the aches and pains. However, even if you don’t need a medical prescription for purchasing and using CBD vape oils, it’s best to consult your doctor, so you can check what’s the proper dosage you should take.

6. Get familiarised with the concept of CO2 extraction. The extraction process will have a major role in determining the quality and purity of your vape oil. The CO2 extraction will take only the active cannabinoids from the plant (which means only the good part of the cannabis plant will be extracted). Make sure the CBD extract used in your vape oil has been pulled using the CO2 extraction process.

7. Before purchasing a CBD vape oil, make sure you understand how the CBD concentration in each bottle works. The level of real CBD contained within the bottle should be clearly labelled on the packaging.

8. Know the brands you’re putting your trust in. For example, a trustworthy CBD brand will get its products lab-tested and share the results with the public. Since the CBD oils are still quite new on the market, it might be hard as a consumer to determine the good and the bad CBD products. Research and lab tests, however, can ensure the quality of the products different brands are selling.

Do your own mini-research before buying CBD oils. Check the reviews, speak with other consumers, search for more information on the products and decide which one works best for you and for your vape pen. Remember that if you cannot find any information on the product you’re planning to purchase, you’re risking to get a low-quality CBD item.
